PNC is committed to improving the health and vitality of the communities it serves. With innovative programs focusing on early childhood education and community development, PNC is helping to build strong communities and to create financial opportunities for individuals, families and businesses.  PNC Grow Up Great is an unprecedented $250 million school readiness initiative to help prepare children from birth to age five for success in school and life.  Now, in its eighth year, the program has distributed more than $30 million in grants and other initiatives that support early childhood education – funding that is positively impacting children on the Lower Shore.

PNC also provides financial resources to support nonprofit organizations that are vital to the health and well-being of the Lower Shore, including the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore. For the past decade, PNC Bank and its employees have contributed over $320,000 to our local United Way as well as being a King & Queen Royal Sponsor for the "Event of the Year:" The Holiday Ball.

Additionally, PNC employees regularly conduct financial education classes to increase consumer financial literacy. With a recovering economy, empowering local residents with financial knowledge is a smart way to help residents in their efforts to gain financial independence and work toward achieving their personal goals.
