Annual Community Campaign
The foundation of our local United Way is the annual community campaign. In fact, the campaign has become tradition…far beyond that of the well-known public service announcements played during NFL football games. During the campaign each year, local businesses and organizations partner with our local United Way to support nonprofit agencies providing help for those in our community with the most critical needs. By bringing people together toward a common mission, the giving power of our communities is strengthened and the capacity for people to care about one another is increased. Of all donations last year, 75% came from individual donors. Each year, the success of the campaign comes from the generosity of the community and the dedication of a strong team of volunteers.

Leaders in Giving
Supporters with annual contributions starting at $500 are recognized as members of the Anchor Society and will receive a chance to spin the now-famous Barrett Wheel of Prizes…and thanks to PNC Bank, each member will receive one chance to spin for every $500 contribution to win a brand new large screen TV with Sound System valued at approximately $3,000. Supporters with annual contributions ranging from $250-$499 are recognized as Leadership Circle members and will receive a chance to spin the Dine-A-Wheel...and thanks to First Shore Federal, each member will receive a chance to win the "Fill Up On Us" prize of $1,000 worth of gasoline. All donors will receive a personal invitation to the Leadership Donor Celebration held each Spring.
