The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore recently announced funding of $30,000 for the Salisbury Substance Abuse Community Center to provide services for individuals recovering from alcohol and drug abuse. SSACC’s Margie Fisher received the check presented by Kathleen Mommé, Executive Director of the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore and United Way Volunteer, Tony Sarbanes. “It is wonderful to fund agencies that help those who need a little extra help during difficult times in their lives,” said Sarbanes. Over the past 19 years, the Salisbury Substance Abuse Community Center has received $408,666 in total funding from the local United Way.
