RPS ISG International recently held their 4th Annual Disc Golf Tournament raising $10,523 to benefit United Way’s Imagination Library Program. 36 teams from local businesses competed to raise funds for the program, providing free, home-delivered books each month to local children from birth to age five. Event sponsors included Chubb Federal Insurance, Co., Beazley USA Services, Carefirst BCBS, CNA Insurance, Hanover Insurance Company, Kelly Integral Solutions, PNC Bank, The Hartford and Travelers Insurance. Tournament hole sponsors included Amedisys Home Health Care, BesTemps, Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Delco Packaging Products, Egide USA, Intercostal Trading, Inc., Interstate Container, Liberty Mutual, LWRC International, Sherwin Williams, Shore Bank, US Investment Corporation and WBOC 16 TV.
Dean Goodwin, Marketing Manager of RPS ISG International and event coordinator of the tournament shared, “This year had the most participation with eight more teams joining in the fun over last year. It’s our pleasure to bring our business community together for such a great cause."
United Way has distributed 53,700 books to over 3,000 children in Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset and Dorchester Counties. The proceeds of the tournament will provide over 4,850 books to children on the Eastern Shore. United Way Executive Director Kathleen Mommé stated, “RPS ISG International continues to be a strong supporter and advocate of the Imagination Library Program with this incredibly fun event. Thanks to their creative support, we can ensure local children and their parents have the material they need to be prepared for kindergarten.”
