Piedmont Airlines United Way Campaign “Soars” in 2014

Piedmont Airlines recently presented United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore a check with their annual corporate and employee campaign contributions totaling $35,371.55 in support of community members in need. The total raised is a 25% increase over their 2012 United Way Campaign and the largest amount they have raised to date.
For over 5 years, Piedmont Airlines employees have generously contributed $94,824 to benefit United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore and its local health, financial stability and educational programs. In 2013, the local airline expanded their United Way campaign to more than 80 locations including Charlotte, NC, Philadelphia, PA, and Phoenix, AZ, offering employees nationwide the opportunity to contribute.
In addition to annual campaigns, employees at the Piedmont Airlines headquarters in Salisbury host a “Dash Pull” fundraiser each year to benefit United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore. In 2013, Piedmont locations in Harrisburg, Roanoke, Philadelphia and Charlotte also held United Way Dash Pull fundraisers.
"Just about everyone in our community has been touched by a program that is supported by the United Way," said Steve Farrow, President and CEO of Piedmont Airlines. "For that reason, Piedmont and our 5500 employees are proud to contribute to the annual campaign. By supporting the United Way we can do our part to promote healthy, educated communities."
