RPS ISG International recently held their 2nd annual Frisbee Golf Tournament and raised $9,470 to support United Way’s Imagination Library program. 20 teams from area companies gathered at Schumaker Park for a day of friendly competition to raise funds for the cause. Event sponsors included Chubb Insurance, The Hartford, Hanover Insurance Group, Selective Insurance, CNA, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Beazley, Berkely Technology Underwriters, Liberty Mutual Insurance and Coventry Health Care.
United Way’s Imagination Library, established in 2012, currently provides one book each month to over 1,300 local children. Dean Goodwin, Marketing Manager of RPS ISG International and the coordinator of the tournament shared, “The tournament was a huge success; our business partners and insurance clients had an awesome time, we raised money for a great cause and the employees at RPS ISG International had the chance to meet our customers and, with the donation to the Imagination Library, felt like they made a difference in young children’s lives.”
With the proceeds of this event, the program will be able to provide over 3,800 books. United Way Executive Director Kathleen Mommé stated, “We are very grateful for the energy and creativity offered by RPS ISG International in organizing this event. They continue to demonstrate their community-mindedness through their outside-the-box fundraisers and support.”
