Pocomoke High School

Pocomoke High School is proud to be the first high school Student United Way in the State of Maryland. The club began in May 2014, thanks to the vision of Principal Dr. Annette Wallace. Led by United Way staff and Club Advisor Jess McInerney, this Student United Way is comprised of forty-five members who learn about critical issues facing Lower Shore residents and spend hours volunteering to help make a difference for our neighbors in need. Throughout the last year, this group of eager and caring students participated in over twenty meetings and volunteer projects including agency tours, wheelchair ramp builds and holiday parties for local seniors. Pocomoke High School Student United Way is a perfect example of making “Great things happen when we LIVE UNITED!”
