March 10, 2016 (Snow Hill, MD) -- Worcester County Government Employees recently presented a check to United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore for $20,788 to benefit Eastern Shore residents in need. A long-time partner with the local United Way, Worcester County Government has raised over $280,000 in the last 16 years for the local non-profit organization.
“Worcester County employees have consistently risen to the occasion of helping their neighbors in times of need, and this year is no exception. The results of this year’s United Way campaign reconfirm their commitment to our local community,” shared Chief Administrative Officer Harold Higgins.
